Although he always looks tired and dull, Toby is actually a friendly and gentle cat. However, due to his unusual appearance, not many people are willing to adopt him. Moreover, Toby has a sibling named Quinton who has lost his teeth, and the two are inseparable. A rare skin condition left Toby the cat with loose, saggy skin. Fortunately for him, a quirky and adorable couple named Georgina Price and Christopher Lardner came across his story online and decided to adopt both him and his sister. “We found the cats online and knew they were looking for a home. We thought it would be better to help both than just one,” said Georgina Price. The couple also shared that they were initially worried upon bringing the cats home, as they were extremely frightened and hid under the bed for weeks. However, with good food and love from their new owners, they eventually became more comfortable. Although Toby’s condition is mild, it can still cause some issues for him, requiring regular nail trimming by Georgina and Christopher due to his weaker-than-normal skin.
After a year of being adopted, Toby has been doing well while his brother Quinton passed away from cancer five months ago. Georgina and Christopher, Toby’s owners, welcomed a new “friend” to the family after Quinton’s painful departure to ensure that Toby wouldn’t be lonely.
