The second goal showcased Mateo’s ability to maneuver in tight spaces, reminiscent of Lionel Messi’s skills. As he dribbled in front of Pinecrest FC’s goal, a defender closely marked him, narrowing the angle for a shot. With a quick move, Mateo created space by tricking his opponent and calmly slotted the ball into the net. The third goal was a thing of beauty as well. Mateo displayed great skill by controlling the ball with his back before swiftly turning and scoring. His competitive spirit shone through as he even tried to make a pass while falling down, showing his determination to maintain possession for his team.
Mateo Messi, the second son of soccer star Lionel Messi, was born in 2015. He has two older brothers, Thiago (2013) and Ciro (2018). Recently, Mateo and Thiago were spotted at Inter Miami’s youth football academy, where they were brought by their famous father, Messi, for practice in August.

When not training with their dad at the club, Messi enjoys coaching his children at home.
